Singapore Trishaws

Singapore was the first place that I'd seen these types of trishaws - with the seat and extra wheel tagged on to the side of what looks like a standard cycle, so that passengers sit alongside the driver.


They're not surprisingly, commonly used for tourist excursions around cities and we saw trishaws dotted around Singapore. The photo above shows a team of trishaws ferrying a group of tourists across Waterloo Road - a creative part of Singapore.

Here's a funky trishaw in Chinatown. Seems the tiger print is all that's required to give it an edge.


Since visiting Singapore, we then went onto Malaysia, and particularly in Malacca, found that they have similar trishaws but they're alot more extensively decorated. More on in a later post.
